Tricia Renshaw was born and raised in Newark, Delaware, and has lived in various states along the east coast since her formative years.  She received a BS in Dance from Skidmore College in 2008. She later went on to study physical therapy at the the University of North Florida, and graduated with her Doctorate in 2011.

After graduation, she relocated to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Since entering the field, she has worked in various settings, from acute care to outpatient clinics. This has allowed her to enjoy an array of experiences and expand her knowledge in the rehabilitation continuum.

Tricia opened her own practice (Restorative PT) in 2013 pert-time, shortly after she received her certification in Clinical Neuromuscular and Structural Bodywork. This certification was the result of 115 hours of post-doctoral study to enhance her manual proficiency in the area of soft tissue mobilization and structural balancing.  She also practices dry needling to address soft tissue restrictions, and enjoys working with her hands in session. In 2019, she became a certified Level 1 NeuFit Practitioner, and she utilizes the Neubie with most of her patients to assist them in recovery and to help her clients optimize their health (for more information on this system, please click here).

In addition to practicing physical therapy, Tricia has been on a personal development and spirituality journey for a few decades. This has led her to participate in a number of programs from weekend retreats to year-long studies in Eastern and Western philosophies as well as deep dives in mindset, emotional intelligence, and subtle energy work. She completed her Level 2 Emotional Intelligence Mastery from Satori Prime in October 2020 and has been studying with Sundari/Marci Lock since Summer of 2020 as well. She’s completed the Online Circle for IFS, has been studying the Gene Keys since 2017, and is currently enrolled in Asil Toksal’s program on Becoming a Conscious Creator. She now regularly incorporates mindset, emotional intelligence, and subtle energy work into her practice, allowing her to treat her patients holistically.

Outside of her practice, she is a an adjunct Instructor of Dance at Western Carolina University, where she’s thoroughly enjoyed sharing her love of dane since 2016. She also serves as the Assistant Artistic Director at the Asheville Ballet, where she choreographs and performs with the company, allowing her to share her art with the community.

In addition to dance and physical therapy, she enjoys spending time with her beloved Andrew, visiting with family and friends, hiking, traveling, doing yoga, dabbling in photography, diving deep into personal growth and spirituality (have you noticed?), and geeking out on all things health and wellness.
